The mfree 108 is the ski I was hoping the woodsman would be: a more playful, nimble, loose charger than the wren. The Dynastar will actually carve a turn on the way back to the chair, the wren is a little meh on 2d snow. For me, the wren is better in deep pow and rough chop than the mfree but that is what goats are for.

Yeah I think I need some 192's. I had the same hope but flunked the woodsman.

This comment implies that it was something you did which caused the poor outcome with the woodsman. I dare say this is not true and it’s the design.

my opinion is that the tail is too strong for the prog mount point, making a tiny balance point. Dims are the same as the mfree but the dynastars are way softer. perhaps I shoulda been on the 187 to better drive them but i don't usually have a problem driving

I think a slightly stiffer version of the mfree would be my jam, I have high hopes for Reine's new ski.

Thanks. That’s still quite long. I do ski 191 enforcer 110’s though.

If swing weight is your concern, you have a valid point. If you're worried about dragging around extra length, I would gamble to say that the M-free 108 is quite a bit more pivoty and maneuverable than the enforcer 110.

The MF108 192 feels like “more ski” than the Enforcer 110 191 FWIW. The MF108 seems stiffer and is obviously more energetic. I feel like you can push the MF108 harder but the Enforcer 110 will be more forgiving and a more damp ride, especially in variable snow.

I think they are both pretty loose in the tail, with the MF108 being at the “extreme” end of that spectrum. Before being on the MF108 bandwagon, my Enforcer 110 was my “not deep enough for a Billy Goat but I want to play in the soft stuff” ski. Love how you can butter and flick around the tails on the Enforcer 110. The MF108 just took that capability to a whole other level, though.

Yeah swing weight. I wouldn’t want much more than the enforcer in terms of that in bumps etc.

Sounds like between this and the Katana 108 I’ll go the 184 in the volkl.

Was wondering that too. I think in years past he’s skied the Pro Rider sometimes disguised w a different graphic.

Based upon the tail it doesn’t look like LPR 105s.

Yeah, team riders used to dress Pro Riders in Cham 107 topsheets back in the days when LPR was officially buried, since they didn't approve of the Chams.

I’ve fondled it but haven’t skied it. Feels stout. I imagine it would be a good ski for that purpose but I’d probably go for the m-vertical 88 for smaller dims and traditional tail, if I could get it.

Well, finally excited to join the collective after a year and a half searching and being 2nd in line on two pairs! 184's arrived this week, currently with demo bindings on them and weighing in at a whopping 3950g each...might be a bit much ski for bunny hill laps with a 2.5 year old but at least she won't be able to catch me!

I do but you'd have to cross the border. Stick to the 108 IMHO.

Also on the Canuckistan booking form the LP 105 is available, group buy anyone?
