So from the description it really looks like the 2021 M-Pro 105 is the new LP105.

Anyone one measure they’re proto/menace/free118 mount point from tail for me?
I get 83.75cm ish. Aka -9.5 from true center

-9.5 sounds right.

Anyone been on both the Menace 98 and a Woodsman 96?

General comparison. If the Menace is mounted on the rear line, or somewhere near it.
They sound slightly similar, both being branded as playful and somewhat directional. Both have some weight to them. Guess the Dynastars are more of a true twin?
Blister has a comparison between Rustler 9s and the Dynas, and it made me lean towards the Dynas, with the Woods as an alternative.
Looking for a easy going (but not floppy) sub 100mm, no park, probably some bumpy trees, some groomers, some leftovers etc.
190/83, decent skier.

This is exactly the slot for the menace 98, it's the quintessential playful one-ski quiver with a groomed/low-tide bias. I have 187's mounted on the rearward line (about -7.) It's predictable at any speed, easily makes any turn shape, and will still hook up and rail groomers. The shape is nearly the same as my 186 OG LP, just softened a bit with some rocker so it's a little more easy-going, progressive not floppy, but I haven't found a significant loss in stability over that ski, and they both ski pow well for what they are. Also, inexpensive. I was told by the Dynastar Rep that the 187 has different core materials than the shorter models because "it's the one the athletes ski." I haven't skied the shorter models, but I have no reason to doubt him. YMMV
I'm a huge ON3P fan, but I've kinda moved away from their narrow offerings. I don't think they excel in low-tide conditions when it's firm and the menace is just as fun in slushy or shallow crud as something with more extreme rocker lines. There was a recent post in the ON3P thread that indicates as much, with an ice-coaster mulling over the idea of going to a 3° edge angle to increase bite on his woods 96. The characteristics that make them excel in 3d snow are working against him, as a result I don't think it's possible to get their skis to hook up on genuinely firm snow, no matter how sharp the edges are.

6,1 170lbs.
Skied the 189 Menace proto today in snowy choppy conditions, really fun ski.
Ski is easily to slarve on just like has been said here before, has some pop, is damp in crappy snow and still lively and fun. Really liked how easy going it was and is definitely a ski I can ski on any day regardless if I’m feeling tired or strong.
Doesnt track super well through heavy chop, becomes more of a surfy and bounce, but because the ski has weight and dampness that’s not an issue, just more of a style thing.
Didn’t love them on groomers, as the tapered tips don’t pull you into a turn much, but still fine, pretty good edge hold.
I guess calling them a dynastar BG might make sense, but they didn’t seem that comparable to me when I was skiing them. They remind me of a more easy going Armada declivity X and maybe a bit of a prior overlord?
Oh and the tail is for sure strong and wants you to stay forward.

+1cm, I dont really have any thoughts on the mount point, there seems to be a large sweet spot. My philosophy is that I want the mount as for forward as I can for tricks without ruining the ability to drive the ski, for skis like this I wish I could have demoed multiple spots. It’s way easier when a ski is either playful or a charger, then you can just mount recommend and not think about it.

I like that my LPs say “End Leg” when I ski them opposite.
