I rescued these from the dumpster last year and I`ve been rocking these all season. 2003 vintage I believe; I forgot how fun they are. Super agile and crush all conditions (except maybe 20+cm days but I haven`t had any of those yet..). They need to be skied for real, no slarving or backseat cruising on these boards.
Waiting for my ski legs to return so I can unleash the 105s.Do what you like, Like what you do.

Just kind of a cool father/son Dynastar-related anecdote...
Asked my kid's race coach about buying him some SL skis. He said "got some 146s and I'll bring em for ya this weekend." I had no idea what they were going to be.
Same day, a package arrives from Woody.
Long story short:
BTW Woody, I've bought new skis that were in worse shape. Thanks bro.

I will have a set of Protos with Demo bindings for BBI Alpental, they might be in the 19/20 graphic (see gear rumors thread).
Also, mounted for a 26.5 Lange (306mm) will be:
186 X88
2x pair 192 Pro Rider
189 Proto
There will also be a few other pairs of those skis mounted for a bigger BSL owned by another Mag. I run pivots, so to try my personal gear you're going to need something between a 300 - 312mm bsl.

Just snagged these bad boys at the local thrift store. Haven’t seen any length stamp might be 210, at least 207s. Even have 13 din look bindings!

I’d ski the fuck out of those! I bet they look even better with a white backdrop in the wild.

I'm headed out to Snowbird at the end of Feb. Thinking of demoing a pair out there since I believe one of the shops at the resorts has them available.

Had a few days on a pair of 188 Legend X106s now. They are mounted on the line but I feel like I am too far forward on the ski. Anyone else on these and how do you find the mount point? Tempted to remount 2cm back. Thanks for any info!

Poke around, I left a review somewhere in this thread. I like them at -1 to -1.5. I didn’t like them at -2

I’ve owned both skis, I can’t believe you’re having tip dive issues on the 106. I had one of the early versions of the trust that was pretty damn stiff and found them to be really divey.
106 is a pintail, in deep heavy snow have you tried pushing harder in to the tips? I know that sounds counterproductive but sometimes pintail shapes work better if you just commit to them.

Yeah I had the original Trust (the yellow and black ones) but dont think they changed much apart from the graphics. They are pretty damn stiff so great for charging open faces but the stiff tails were hard work in tighter places.
I have found your original review of the 106 on page 5 of this thread. Interesting that your instinct was also to try -2 first after skiing them at 0 even though you then didn't like that position in the end.
I will give them a couple more days and will try pushing harder into the tips and see how i get on.
Thanks for your input.

I was also on the yellow trust and found them to be super divey. Far more than the 106 which has much more rocker a fatter tip.

I’m not stoked on these 189 protos. They ski super short and loose. Probably lots of fun in powder but this is not an XXL replacement. Not even a little.
But Ellen kicks ass - if she had a beard it would be much more haggard. -Jer

They are a similar animal to a billygoat. They charge in pow but not a replacement for a legend pro
