SLC MTB ride rec
Will be in Millcreek over thanksgiving. Won't have tons of time, but was hoping there's some singletrack I might be able to ride to from the house. Any recs?

Yep, pedaling up to Pipeline in Mill Creek is your only option to ride from the house. Rather short drives to the Zoo trailhead or Corner Canyon would be worth it. Zoo/Shoreline trails should be good this wkd and I think Draper/Corner Canyon should be primo too. I can ride on Friday if ya wanna get out for a rip

According to facebook conditions pages corner canyon is g2g today. If you have a car that is what I would do.

Thanks mags! Perfect. Just what I was looking for.
Joetron, I don't know what the family has going on, but I'll let you know if I'm up for Friday. Thanks for the offer.

Bobsled Bobsled Bobsled Bobsled
Tanner Park is a neat little open space area that you could ride to from the house. Would be a good ride to do with kids/family. There are some nutty dirt jumps there too that are pretty impressive to see. Can be good spectating if people are riding them.
I could be in for a Friday ride, too.

Let's make this Friday group thing happen. I vote for Corner Canyon. Fuck Bobsled. That's the most overrated section of trail in the Wasatch Front. Ever since everyone and their brother started doing "improvements" on the lower section that trail has gone to shit. They're more bad lines than Whitney Houston's coffee table.

bobsled sucks. BST from Hidden Valley to CC for a loop is money.

Them's fightin' words. Agreed that the very bottom has gotten out of hand, but it's like the last 1/3 mile. The rest is still a riot. In the context of people suggesting to ride BST from the zoo, assuming he rides past dry creek it'd be crazy not to drop down bobsled vs. riding BST the whole way back.
CC works for me though, I'm always down for a Jacob's/Ghost/Rush lap.

The kiddo wants to shuttle in the morning, but I could probably get away in the afternoon. Anyone who wants to shuttle with us in the morning is welcome to join. Mom is driving so no car retrievals. Got room for two, three if someone is willing to be uncomfortable on the way up.

Don't trust joetron. He'll take you on extreme black diamond trails that are above your skill level and break your spine.
And he'll do it while riding with a fanny pack. totally untrustworthyBesides the comet that killed the dinosaurs nothing has destroyed a species faster than entitled white people.-ajp

Thanks for all the info. Timing didn't work out, so I didn't end up hooking up with anyone, but I did make it out to CC. Nice spot. Climbed Clarks and came down a bunch of different trails.
I did manage to somehow lose my sunglasses. Tried to backtrack but couldn't find them.Last edited by GiBo; 11-26-2017 at 12:26 AM.
