He adds nothing, Debbie Downer, sucks.

It's snowing there now, and there's a flurry of FIS looking activity on the race hill. And the base structures are going up.
    Pretty cool

I forgot to quote The Snowshow's question regarding whether it's just a strip of man made or not. Typically we have brown ground in November. Today most likely put it back to or closer to brown ground. Be nice to get a bunch of frozen precip when the front rolls thru to make it look like ski season again.

SFB thinks a Jersey Babe is a Snooky. Laps for that beater. (And I think I read somewhere that she/that whole group are from Staten Island or something--had a very amusing night years ago watching them being denied entry to someplace downtown; one of them tried the, 'Do you know who I am?' line, and the bouncer responded with, 'Yeah, I know who you are, and that's why you're not getting in.')

On topic, Superstar on TV actually looks like a great race hill. When I first heard they were going to race there I thought it wouldn't be so good except from a spectator perspective (always thought Highline was a great SL hill, and Skyelark was really fun GS), but the headwall and then that bottom pitch are legit for WC racing.

Just saw Superstar cam--looks fat, and snow falling! Sure would be nice to have a decent season/early season this year...

Who fucking cares? If you are seriously getting all cunty over not having one more groomer lane of man made snow to ski on this weekend you might suck at life.

Weather looks decent to race day. Only a few days with the potential for above freezing temps for short periods.

So many reasons to say K Mart sucks, but I know better. Fuck that noise. Don't like the K ? Don't go. And I spent more time at Stowe than any other Mountain on the northeast

Looks like BigDaughter may have a gotten a better date! BD, you may have better luck unloading the passes on Kzone, which is back up now.

I'll be skiing K on T-Day from 9-1:30 if anyone is around. Then back for World Cup early Saturday AM (hopefully in Bay 1) and then Sunday for the SL. I'll bring a grill, meat products and some IPA.

    Let's party!

I heard it was going to be a disaster... or at least your rendition of London Calling

^^BINGO... she's working all weekend so she can ski winter break. At least her head's in the right place. Tickets sold via FB, but craigslist responses are always good for a laugh. Was offering them for $400:

Disaster ? Really ? K Mart is always a shit show on skiis. Bring a cowbell and a flask. I've done so many US opens for snowboarding at Stratton this probably couldn't hold a candle to that shitshow.

Last year I was forced to take a shuttle from over two miles away to a place was literally infested with maggots. I was then coerced and ridiculed by one of these so called maggots, and made to consume an Alchemist brew in the lodge. Then, after witnessing the ultra aggressive, speedy and smooth homecoming queen take first in the slalom, my daughter and I were abducted by yet another maggot and made to sit quietly in the back, while being driven to our vehicle. It was an experience that one does not easily forget, and to repeat it, would be incredibly difficult for us.

I'm not sure "shit-show" is the right terminology, but it was something which I feel I was very fortunate to have witnessed and lucky to have lived through the experience.
