Snowbird / Alta Inbounds 2017-18
Didn’t see a thread, and hoping getting one going will beef up this storm...
What’s the haps up there? Making snow? Nov 22 look realistic at all for a WROD?
Like it or not, the Goose has got a Bird pass w new wife for Jan - March. Trying to head in next weekend for a trip or two to the boot shop and a few hours on the groomers.
See y’all in the tram line.

I don't know about the LCC side but Soli has a projected opening date of 12/2. This storm is looks to be capping at 12" with dry weather through Thanksgiving. I'd be surprised if they opened.

Alta website shows "We are adjusting our anticipated opening date and will announce a new date as conditions permit."
Might be time for a road trip up north

I doubt the birds opening on the 22. As mentioned Alta went to delaying. This happened last season too and it turned out great. Fret not it's coming.

I blow snow at the bird.
We're blowing snow every chance we get, but weather hasn't been particularly favorable. Who cares about the manmade anyways.
Snow off trials is pretty sparse. We really need a pattern change because even the storm coming tomorrow won't be nearly enough to create ride able conditions.

Plenty of skiing out East. Snow in the forecast. Buy that plane ticket.

Echo what everyone else said. I'm ready, but trying to be patient. May have to head to the ghee if this storm doesn't overproduce.

Seriously, don’t force it.
Your getting on a plane either way.
Just get on a different plane.

I used my free room at the Cliff last Saturday, cruised through the Gad lot on the way home. There isn't even near enough snow ON TRAIL. My buddy Travis messaged them today and they maintained a 22nd opener.
It better keep cold after this mini storm coming up if they stand any chance to open the 22nd. If they do, I'll be somewhere near the front of the line.
BTW Max, a dude starting a local conditions thread from San Diego, poor form.

We need that magic snow turtle to start a general Wasatch/Uinta conditions and stoke thread.

If that tortoise doesn't produce on his promise, we're having turtle stew in the spring

The tortoise has been infallible. Last year got a slow start too and that's the tortoise's benchmark, so we have no reason to doubt that it will retain it's infallibility. Incidentally, it does not have a name but does have some kind of BLM serial number or barcode tracking.

I'd feel better if his name was Gary, Fred, Hank, or anything really. Naming turtles is how us humans are different from the robots.

Not much more than cruising on a cat track, but it was nice finally getting out this year.

Wow bummer man. I think it was lame for them to open and close. Weather was easy to see. Either blow more snow and go all in, or just wait.
Have fun at b right on.
