Renan Ozturk sees your excessive use penalty and raises you one:

The new Tsaina looks like a box. I checked and it was done by Rim architects from anchorage. When i first saw it being built i thought it looked like a medical building. Seeing it finished it came out very nice.

This place is actually way cooler IRL. Pictures don't do it justice. Not a flat ceiling or square wall anywhere and while 10,000 sq ft, only one bedroom. Great place for a party, tho...

^That's kind of the idea... It's actually going to become part of a local museum when they move out.

And seriously, you have to experience it to appreciate it. Pics look like crap, but the entry sequence, details and siting are incredible. Not saying it's for everyone, but it's a very cool house.

same architect designed and vacations here:

That was the Sheldon Hut, Skifishbum has some great pics from when he was part of a group that rented it for a week maybe 10 years ago, they're here on TGR somewhere. Kind of a shame that it went from a cool super-rustic place for dirtbags to tour from to a luxo chalet but what're ya gonna do?

I don't know if this is cool or hideous. But it would prolly make a great snowmobile getaway.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Don't know if it's been mentioned here...and maybe belongs in Netflix thread, but I just heard about this show:

Caveat: I haven't watched it...but I'm going to check it out.

I thought all of Maine was a snowmobile area! But it did not escape me that it's a short walk/ride to the water.

I was more hoping that he'd stop by with his smoke pipe.
