    The Ridge is looking fine.

Bowl 4 was mighty tasty just before I took this shot.

We have a decent location pinpointed. If the cell/gps/find my iphone is truthful, we should have him soon.

How far is this pinpoint from the general area we were told to keep an eye open, on Sunday? Tell me its under a table in the bar.

I'm feeling kinda sick that if he did sink somewhere beyond that rope, I may have skied past him 7 or 8 times. It was a good stash of cream that offset the firm chunk back to 6. I feel horrible the kid's already spent a night. Prayers and vibes go out that he's just stuck and gettin out. Everyone I know is rattled by this.

    Hi Folks.

With The Ski journal and The Snowboarder's Journal, we are holding a contest with Mt. Baker to Win a Mt. Baker Season Pass.

    https://www.theskijournal.com/exclus...pointandshoot/

Win a season pass to Mt Baker Ski Area!

Here’s how: post a photo of yours to Instagram taken at Mt Baker during the 2017-18 season, follow and tag @theskijournal, @therealmtbakerskiarea, and use the hashtag #artistpointandshoot.

We’ll post all pictures to the @artistpointandshoot Instagram account, pick a monthly winner to receive a prize package from TSKJ and Mt Baker, and host a final showdown in April for a 2018-19 season pass and other prizes.

General search area is from hairy scary towards the knob. We're rappeling off most of the unskiable bits yesterday, today, and probably tomorrow. Trying to turn over every stone along the cliffs in a systematic way from the available information. SAR has been checking below the cliffs around every tree and gridding through the open areas.

If anyone sees anything out of the ordinary, do not hesitate to let us know. Mt Baker dispatch is 360-300-7070.

Keep your heads up all, too many folks have gone missing this winter so far. Ride with a buddy, give your local SAR a high five. Look out for each other.

Heard SAR brought the dogs out this morning but weather deteriorated pretty bad. I'll never cruise through there again without stopping on a ledge, just looking and listening for a minute. This is awful. Ive asked too many kids back there if they knew where they were going. 85% say no. Seen too many pick the wrong two trees and eat shit, sometimes with the sluff coming down onto their bomb hole.

Can confirm, did not suck. Snow was dense but not too wet. Steep open shots slid to the crust but treed and/or lower angle stuff skied really nice. Got run after run of good pow until about 2pm when my legs were done. Snowing hard when we left, tomorrow should be another good one.
