Yep. I didn't make it out quite early enough for first (tire) tracks and had to settle for the sloppy seconds. Wasn't much on the ground when I rolled out of bed at dawn, probably an inch or so when I left, maybe 2" at the crest...

Tide's still out, but at least it looks like things are starting to swing the right way

I was up there this morning picking up my season pass and c an confirm. Started real light, but by the time I walked out the lodge and started driving up towards alpy it was a decent snow shower. Also saw the first cop I'd ever seen up out across the street of west.

There's a winter storm warning for North Cascades calling for 1-2 feet at Baker.

and a "Winter Weather Advisory" for the passes.

I already told my boss that if I see him tomorrow that means it's raining atop I-90. My guess is that Stevens will get the snow they need to re-open. I'm less certain about Snoqualmie where the snow level is forecasted to bounce between 3k - 4k, but that doesn't take into account any easterly flow...

    Eh?

State patrol and both King and Kittco have cruisers up here all the time.
Pro tip, don't speed on 906 the county tickets that stretch of road on the regular.

They were off-duty officers hired for security

More snow falling today, lighter than yesterday but it's starting to stack-up now

Rain/Snow mix in Leavenworth, imagine it's all snow just a bit higher.

It first looked like an undercover car because all the dirt/salt on it, which made me curious because I've heard that undercover cars can not be used for standard patrol. I also go up to the pass to hike or just watch the snow fall (It calms me) pretty often and have never seen a cop besides on I-90.

It looks like west has gotten 7 inches so far today. If they get another foot in the next few days possible opening this weekend?

No skiing for me this year due to upcoming knee replacement. However I will be up at Baker this Saturday, Dec 2nd, playing music in White Salmon Lodge from 12:30 to about 3:30. I hope to have at least Change for a Nickel in the tip jar so hit me up!

For this morning’s sunrise breakfast, the country club served up delightful cream cheese atop a slightly lumpy bagel. Yum

There you go, mixing metaphors. I'm planning to get up for some skin laps. Again.

Stevens was fun today. Once the inbounds things were pretty mashed up and the only good snow was hiding by sketchy creek holes a few quick laps from the top of Tye to to the top of Big Chief made me regret not getting in shape sooner.

The top of Big Chief needs quite a bit more snow, lots of chicken necks sticking up all over the place and tons of creek holes in predictable places.

Most recent NWAC weather forecast looks like there won't be much in the way of rain in even the lowest of passes Thurs. followed by several more inches of the good stuff Friday & Saturday before the pattern dries-out (and cools way down) Sunday. Hoping we can get a few holes of golf in this weekend because otherwise...

Debbies. I never do the cat track, lots of exposure all the way across.

10-12" new very boyant and somewhat upside down. Very creamy. Laborious trail breaking so I lapped the lower hill instead of head up top.
