Awesome opening weekend at Crystal! Got up there early on Friday and was one of the first 10 people though green valley. Skied until I couldn't stand. Stoke was high. Clear skies on Sat with chair 6 opening. Traverse was super rocky as mentioned, but worth the turns. Powder bowl skied well, but was tracked out fast. Bear pits was a bear. Sunnyside was pretty thin as well, but great coverage for the most part.

Hoping this rain doesn't do too much damage.

Lucky to get your pup in at Stevens. I heard they werent letting dogs in once lifts where spinning this year. I got up to Dudley's with mine on Wednesday. Took two dogs down diving board on Friday. Good full decent of tye peak on Saturday. Great few days out. I'll see if I can at least scam some shots of the dogs. .

2100 PST, still "raining" an inch an hour atop I-90. Spinouts everywhere, WB closed, supposed to transition to rain by morning but at this point, who knows?!

12am update: the rain has arrived

Yea, real stoking stuff last few days on this thread! Even the 'turn convo stuff' was entertaining!

Hopefully it doesn't take long to recover from the soaking, because Crystal was fantastic on Saturday.

I did? Don't think I ever got kicked off, but started a couple flame wars. The one that got deleted when I was clowning big Steve was great. Wish someone would have saved that. There was literally a dude sliding down a line on his butt with one ski on and the other in his hand. Remember it just like yesterday.

For the record, you can turn however the fuck you want as long as it's pretty. Gapers traversing and sliding sideways on untracked lines in the b/c deserve reprimand.

Don't let this week's warm-up bum you out too much. It's gonna consolidate what we have into a bomber base for when the snow returns. No holes, no problems!

I'm getting really pissed off with people saying this fucking rain event is going to be "good for the base".

Although, a counterpoint may in fact be questioning where this fucking rain was in September when we most needed it.

    Goddamn climate change...

It's November in the Cascades. I can remember way more rainy tropical storm events than epic powder days around Thanksgiving. We're still a month out from winter even! Geez, relax. (Isn't this the weekend when mountain roads and bridges always washout?)

Couldn't you substitute December, January, February, March or April for November and have this still be true?
