Are you heading this way? It's gonna be colder but if the winds are light and it's sunny like forecast it should soften by 11 or so on E-S aspects.

I love the short hours and low angle light. It doesnt bother me one bit. Honestly I was expecting it to be darker longer based on what everyone I talked to describe winter days. My body has gi issues that likely mess with nutrient absorbtion and isnt used to winters like this, not matter how much I enjoy it.

The summers here Im not the biggest fan of with the no clouds and endless light.

Only if you let 'em get to ya

Yesterday bud Ted, his dog Phoebe and I fishscaled Kendall Road to KB #1. Snowpack is 3'+ of April-ish unconsolidated mush. Ugh, although descending the snowshoe luge run was kinda fun and faster than usual.

Yes, it was a terrible way to end what had turned out to be a nice demo.

I can only imagine. It's such a fun group event. Gotta be tough for everyone that was there.

I'm also over to the Windy Fri-Sun this weekend with the family, but should be able to catch a few runs.

Apparently enough folks for a tally...

Final count was 73 pads occupied during the day

A little birdy told me ON3P will be doing a demo at Hi-2 on Saturday. Could be a fun time to test some skis while the snow scrapping, sideways sliding contingent is preoccupied at the northern dead end this weekend

Might be worth driving the extra hour or so from LWS’s mountain compound to ski a couple new skis.

I wonder how early the ON3P crew will have to leave PDX to score parking

I wish tickets up there weren't so dang expensive. It's actually about the same amount of driving.

If the on3p guys are interested in doing a demo (informal in the lot style) at mission Sunday I can talk to the right people and get a solid group of people to attend. Just a thought.
