If all you see if failure, guess what?
None of the shit we take for granted was easy; our forbearers in the PNW who ran the pack trains and put in the roads busted their asses. Most of what we'd have to do is tweeze at some device and attend meetings.

    Comparable?

Pretty comical to hear everyone gripe about lift expansion into where everyone tours. Can't wait to hear what people have to say about the Mt. Herman tram being put in up north this summer

Went to Stevens today for the first time. Conditions were decent, and it was lightly snowing so that was plus. I wish the off piste was less gloopy so I could have explored the mountain more.

Stevens was somewhere between terrible and incredible yesterday. Second run of the day off 7th was maybe the worst conditions of the season, afternoon held some of the best runs on Bob and Nancy I've ever had. Aquarius face felt really nice for about two turns until a little wind slab slid...decided not to finish that run.

Stevens was pretty nice this morning. Not many people until 10:30 with the road closed Click image for larger version.

Yep...I fiddled around this morning figuring that the Avy work would actually start close to on time, only to see that it didn’t and I was the first vehicle to get stopped/not let through. Props to those who beat the closure.

That being said, it was still awesome out there today. Deep, light, and enough depth to create distance from that firm/icy/spring snow layer. Even after everyone showed up, lots of fresh lines to be had. It was a little shallower in the trees, but Katz skied sooo well and I only saw 1 or 2 riders in there all day. The stuff off of the Big Chief boundary line that was wind-protected were some amazing turns. Awesome “spring break” pow day...

Hello PNW'ians! After much anticipation for your fixed-grip lifts, overnight-friendly parking lots, and gray skies, I am making my first visit to the area with equipe d'le'neige this weekend. Visiting a teacher buddy who's on spring break. Will be exploring Stevens, Crystal, and Alptenal, and would be grateful if anyone has any leads in discounted Crystal/Alpental I could relieve you of. Money in exchange is even a possibility! PM me if you got a lead... thanks!

Is Snoqualmie still doing the buddy pass? WDG, you could potentially get a buddy ticket (like 30 or 40 dollars) by going with a season pass holder.

My friend didn't think he'd want to get a pass for the winter after moving to Seattle last summer, and has since spent $1,000 on lift tickets. Sigh...

We're planning for Tuesday. Damn! At least it looks like snow incoming for Saturday overnight...

This Fri is the last weekday to ride lifts up there this year, unfortunately.
