Sounds right. Today's forecast calls for rain changing to snow, then snow this evening and everyday this week. Coverage of Wenatchee Ridge FS road (N side of Blewett) was good, no scraping on Saturday. Good start for the season but it's gonna be awhile before DH, WK and other higher ski tours out of Tronsen pullout will be in shape.

After last night's fog & this morning's rain pretty much all the snow below 3k was gone, but the upper reaches (4k+) were looking white. Lots of moisture w/ easterly flow the next few days could get things going before the freezing level spikes over the weekend.

Same on the eastside. I'm at 2976' and went from at least 8 - 12" down to a few random shallow patches here and there.

It's okay, I'm not ready to be Mr. Plow all the time.

Looks like they are track packing the chair 2&3 terrain at Mission in anticipation of more snow. Coverage is looking solid. Good sign. Now we just need the forecast to materialize and we'll be in good shape.

Ah yes! I've been up to Stevens a few times, there's enough to make turns and get a good feeling. Welcome back, winter!

I never was a fan of how they did both none & the highest totals in white. IMO it should trend towards black...

NOAA's still calling for mostly rain at pass level until late Tues. With an east wind forecast, I'm calling BS and preparing for a winter wonderland which will likely not relent until Friday.

Pipe what sources other than living in the fantastic dream land do you get your weather info for the pass? In mid winter I can tell slightly by looking out my window and seeing where the snow line is on Mt Si, but its a bit rough in the fall I'm figuring out. The weather channel is saying snowfall right now in the pass and will continue through the night, but I'm not seeing much on the webcams. I'm doubting to myself the lifts will be spinning this weekend with the diminishing snow pack, but still hoping the lifts will be spinning at west this weekend so I can head out sunday. I was thinking of going out to skin up tomorrow morning but not if there isn't any new snow (also I need to remember to pack my ski poles. I had to get everything ready at 5am while trying to not wake the kids and forgot my poles. I ended up skiing with out because I didn't realize until I had my skins on).

edit: I've seen the potential of 5 to 8 inches tonight.

Snow in the PNW 17-18: Dropping!

Hmmm... some threads are started and then edited with all kinds of links to local information like NWAC or snow totals at the local resorts etc.

Oh I know (and love it), but I wish there was a tighter zoom on that rain v snow map. Also, seems like the site has been a bit inconsistent lately. But, I'm aware he's facing quite the recovery (heal up cmor!)

At the moment, I would classify that as unlikely, at least at the pass level.

Got it... sorry to plug something you already know. Maybe someone else can chime in with additional sources.

Don’t be. It’s a great resource and the more people use it perhaps the better funded it can be. Cheers.

I'm hoping its true because I'd like to go out tomorrow morning at sun up and with the rain today I'm not sure its a good idea with out some fresh snow.
