Vis leaves a bit to be desired today but lifts are a spinnin.

Someone was not too happy their coat got left in the garage and had to rock my puffy.

9 holes in 3 hours and now I'm ready for aprés... Guess I'll do a few more while the Jerrys pack the bar...

EDIT: played a full round of 18 holes. Why, I don't know... The groimers definitely got better in the afternoon, but this morning's pillow party were the best laps of the day

Baker was All-Time today (at least as far as Second Days of December goes). 45” over 5-days with 21” of the past 24-hours. Got to introduce Bandit Jr to the various adventure zones around the mountain. Everything seemed skiable today.

Here’s a pic of Jr and my ski buddy Jeremy who skied his new 179 Billy Goats today for the first time. He loved them but agreed that they are more of a Pygmy Goat.

Oh yeah, I skied my L138s on December 2nd!! Never done that before.

In constant pursuit of the perfect slarve...

You wouldn’t have guessed it was semi-supportive rain crust the day before

I managed to get six laps in from 9 to 11, though I spent a few minutes stuck in the tracked out powder knee deep having to dig my self out. I've never skied that deep of powder untouched let alone tracked. It felt amazing at first till dealing with the huge ruts everywhere.

Crystal started filling in as the day wore on and it got less scratchy and much more forgiving. Though i got a little excited later in the day and made some poor decisions on where and how fast to ski and will need to do a fair amount of ski repair in the morning.

Also, i managed 11th chair into Powder Bowl when 6 popped, and it was just phenomenal. Real sick to be able to open it up on a big, steep, untouched face like that.

Nice. Dropping in powder bowl from the peak is one of favorite things to do.

    Ever.

Stevens was pretty great today. Went up with two friends and six pairs of skis, and was able to put off learning to tele because we found stashes all day. Sean managed to break a boot on the first lap so he got some practice dropping knees.

Here's the first video I've ever made that involves something more than turning the camera on then off again:

Powder bowl did this to the ski of thing #3 yesterday. Big air to buried (evidently pointy) rock. No human damage (amazingly) as he managed to ski out of it. The dent in the core goes almost all the way to the topsheet. One of the gnarlier bits of ski damage I've ever seen. #3 was bummed.

Pillows were popped today at Central. Its amazing the difference in the snow quality from the "approach" under silver fir, to where it actually goes up with some pitch. Legit powder with no discernible rain crust up high on the steep pitch, but a very noticeable yet non sketchy crust lurking down low. Really fun terrain is in play there right now, and 15 minute laps to access that top pitch.

Skied two full laps with two upper mountain only laps at the high 12 today. I was the only tracks on the steep terrain until Paterero and another local joined me for my last lap. Completely untouched pow on every lap while Jerry lapped the blue squares. Their loss. Pretty solid 4500ft day (dick waving, sorry. Not really ).

Put a handful of fresh gouges in my skis on the lower mountain though. It's not surprising they aren't running right now. Way to many open hazards down low on the easier terrain.

East was bumper-deep this afternoon. Heard good things about Alp but never made it further north than West where the conditions were alright.

Padded seats get added to the mix next week!
