What in the world is going on with Vipec brakes?
So I'm trying to order some additional brakes for my Vipecs because I am going to QK them on a couple different skis.
So I ordered 100mm and 120mm from Moosejaw and they are literally within 3mm in size of each other. The 100mm are HUGE. I'm trying to figure out what size I should order to actually fit on my 100mm skis.
The picture below shows from left to right:

- Solly 115mm

Don't remember for sure, but they probably are a little more narrow when installed. My 95 brakes fit my 95 skis great.

Hm interesting. I even put them in the holders to see how wide they were stowed and they're a decent bit wide on 102mm skis. I heard that there was some change in brake widths over the last few iterations of Vipecs? Not sure if that's actually true though.

I've got 95, 110 and 120 widths, I'll try to take a look at them tomorrow.

So when mounted, my "95mm" Vipec brakes fit up to 105mm. When the brake arm is removed from the binding, it springs wider to about 118mm. Since Vipec brakes don't have a separate spring to rotate the arms (which most, if not all alpine bindings do), the outward spring force against two angled plastic surfaces is what creates the brake arm rotation when your boot comes out of the binding.
With this type of "the arm assembly is the spring" mechanism, folks that bend Vipec or Tecton brake arms to a different width must be very careful to ensure ALL bending is done beyond where the arms protrude from the plastic housing. If the steel rod is bent out of factory spec anywhere within the housing, the brake isn't going to work properly.

Any chance a "B90" brake will fit a 104 ski?

to add to the confusion, they list different range of widths depending whether you're calling them vipec or tecton brakes despite bd confirming they're the same.
S-M-L-XL
for tecton M lists as 100 while for vipec M lists as 95. L is 108 for vipec instead of 110. Xl is 120 for both. S is only listed for vipec and lists as 82.

Strange, when I bought the Vipec Evo, they clearly list models as 100, 110, 120. It appears that they are using different brake size indicators depending on if you buy the current version bindings with the brakes, or the brakes separately. Do you think it is ok to assume that the brakes are the same as previous years and M (100/95), L (110/108), XL (120/120) are the same products?
I ask because I need to switch my 110 brakes to the 100 version. If anyone has any to trade by the way, that would be great.

based on evidence in OP I would assume M is easily 100 and not 95. the question for me becomes what does S actually fit.
anyone have experience with the S brake size?

I'll ask again: has anyone got a pair with the small 82mm brakes? inside width on the 100 once installed is over 110mm and the 120 is closer to 140mm. I'd rather bend the 100s to fit my protests than use the 120s.
the 100s look ridiculous on yetis.
odd given the otherwise well thought out nature the rest of the binding gives the appearance of...
