    Going for the "Full On3Ptard"?

Defined as having owned every model produced in the past 3 seasons.

    (edit: I should talk...)

Not quite there yet lol. Haven’t had any of the newer wrens, and never owned a kartel.

I had the (title) skis in a 186cm before, but want to try them again at -1.5cm from the line.

I loved the Vicik, as a do-it-all playful charger (leaning more towards play at my size), just wanted a little more ski. It was so good in powder, mank, chunder, chop, bumps, trees, groomers, steeps, chutes, everything but ice basically. I bet the 189 Wren 108 is exactly what I wanted to change in the 186 Vick.

Maybe ON3P should sell you a subscription like old school Netflix DVDs. Two pairs at a time, swap them out whenever you want.

I need a jibby pow/all mtn ski that can haul the mail. I’m thinking of selling my Pettitors.

What do you like about Jeffrey 114 or 110 over the Kartel?

(I'm not looking to buy or sell, just curious about those skis)

Compared to the K108, the J110 has a longer radius (~25m in the 186) and less taper, but at the expense of more tail rocker. The J110 has the elliptical sidecut; the J114 & K116 have the bi-radius sidecut. The K108 was elliptical until 18.19; next season it's updated to have a hybrid sidecut, I guess because some people felt the elliptical sidecut was too hooky. Personally, I've found that ON3P's jib-focused skis have a pretty soft tip and tail (for buttering) -- supposedly they stiffened up the tip and tail on the K108 for 18.19 with the introduction of the Magnus line, specifically the M102, since that line is focused on jibbing and the Kartel line is more focused on all-mountain skiing.

I don't know much about the Caylor/J114/K116 iterations because I ski the BG as my pow ski.

(NB. I have no professional affiliation with ON3P.)

I recently bought J114 14/15 and when they arrived I was so amazed on how similar they are to Moment Bibby. J114 is just off by 2mm in each dimension, flex is super similar, rocker profiles, radius are almost the same. I'm really curious if they where inspired by it.
Unfortunately I haven't skied them yet so no comparison on that.

I never skied the J110, but want to. Although I dont get along with elliptical sidecut as much as I wanted to. Too quick for me, but its very fun feeling. Maybe it would feel more natural to me with a 26m radius.

The J114 was very close to perfect, but I had issues with them on firm snow. I was locked in on the taper points, what I call too “edgey”. Looking back, I should have never sold them, because a simple (but correctly performed) detune in the proper areas most likely would have solved my issues. I feel like an idiot. I had that sick version with the Evo topsheet, and they were stiff! Or well, stiff enough for me.

When I got on K116s, I felt the same edgey feeling on firm snow, and a simple detune corrected that issue. I seem to have a problem with sharp edges on taper points, but only ever feel it on freestyle twins, not directional tapered skis??? I dont get it.. I didnt feel this on Kartel 108s though, they didnt feel “edgey” at all and didnt need detuning.

K116s are amazing in softer conditions. I find them significantly softer than K108s, but heavier and longer radius. One of the best pow skis under 120mm. It feels like a more versatile Moment Night Train. They work on firm snow, but arent ideal for that. I am selling mine because I prefer Bibbys on firm and as a daily driver.

I have the ski you seek (186cm j114 veneer), but I’m not sure whether I want that or the Kartel 116 more

If you don’t find your pair, after I get on the ski a few times this winter I’ll decide whether to sell or not and let you know

You seem like a candidate for daily rehab exercises. Get on top of it! I want to hear stories of you shredding this year!

On the way to recovery. No meds in 6 weeks, dropped 30 lbs or so. This winter is looking good!
