New Expert Terrain Opening at Marmot Basin!
Posted in the Rockies thread but I'm so excited it needs its own post.
North facing and big vert! New rocks to hit. So pumped.

Despite living down the road, I haven't been to Marmot in at least 25 years. I'm thinking I need to make a trip.
Did you guys ski that new zone as a slack country area prior to this year?

Cool! I've never skied Marmot, seems like I've got a reason to now. Any angles for cheap day passes?

It was AWESOME!!! Great snow conditions. Top to bottom, Only hit one rock. Its amazing to have a new place to explore. Great pitch and my legs are screaming. The out track was sporty and got worse throughout the day. It will for sure be a deterrent for lap # 2 for a lot of people.

So 25 minutes chair to chair? That's about what I figured, I'll throw in a lap or two this weekend to get the feel.

Exit is getting very sporty! I'm considering dropping two turns past the exit trail and punch in a new trail. It will take 5 minutes longer but won't be nearly as terrifying.

Got to ski Marmot and Tres Hombres on Thursday, my first time there. Good times! Conditions were hard but it meant the rocks were easy to avoid and clear skies made exploring a new mountain much easier. The new terrain is a really fun run and will get better as it fills in further skiers right.
Overall really impressed with Marmot, likely will not be the last time I make the 4 hour trek!
