Apparently quantity, since I’m going to A Basin tomorrow to rip the WROD.
But when it is quality, I’ll be the first one down.

The quality of DSM posts is inverse to the quantity.

But his mom is still the loco-motive of the train.

Growing up I had to make do with all kinds of difficult conditions and less than stellar hi vertical. 150 vertical foot London Ski Club for one. Grew up on blue ice in Quebec Laurentians, death cookies at Blue Mountain and Georgian Peaks on the shores of Georgian Bay. I am living proof that one can have fun sliding on pretty much anything. Give me the 100 days.

Skiing 100 days in marginal conditions sets you up well with the balance, skill and leg strength to handle the awesome days.

Your technical abilities get better on marginal snow. We put out kids in the BVR Nancy Green program at Norquay, maligned as an eastern Resort in the Rockies. Hard snow. ( we did have one massive fantasy storm in the early 00’s that dropped 3’ overnight in a Friday. Ripped up the Big Chair all morning with maybe 30 people competing for space. It was epic). But got in with a group of ex-provincial and national team members and they taught me to keep up or die. Three years skiing with them took my technical abilities to a whole other level.

100 days is 90 more when you are outside breathing fresh air and working up a sweat.

10 days of blower? I wouldn’t get into the ski shape to enjoy it.

I have often wondered about this and I have settled on the former. After several 100+ day ski seasons I realized that most places I've lived have about 20 really good days per winter. If you have a job that lets you ditch on those 20 days then you are all set. I'd rather have that then ski shit for the other 80.
This also works for mountain biking. I've lived in places with really good mountain biking with a short season and moved to a place with a really long biking season but less good mountain biking. Both times I did this I realized that the longer season wasn't worth it and I'd rather live in a place with better riding but a shorter season.

The summer ski season at Squaw didn't excite me much after my Whistler winter ski season. So yeah, give me those 10 epic pow days for summer season at Squaw every year, between my Whistler winter seasons.

Pay attention, it’s 150 this year.

It would be great, to be able to pick the 10,20 or 30 best days of the year. But it just doesn’t work that way. You just never know, until you go!

Ski as much as you can and make the most of each day.

    Quality vs. Quantity

Where the hell is that vid of LVS & Fieds slicing through about 40+” of pow last year?

    That shit was ridiculous!

Is anyone here actually craving for WROD pics? Easy for me to provide some, because I am currently on Day13 of a 27-day roadtrip to a bunch of Vail Corp WROD's (to rehab & troubleshoot my torn Achilles tendon before December at Whistler)---but I thought WROD TR's were a bannable offense on TGR.

Or just watch this snowboarder's video of A-Basin's top-to-bottom WROD:
