I had a fun day on the JH backcountry lines yesterday. Went with my friend Lin, who climbed Mt. Moran with me last summer.

Clear and no wind, and ended up skiing 4 Shadows, No Name Face, and Pinedale.

Anything east or south was bulletproof until late morning. But north aspects still held cold snow, even a bit of pow.

We also scoped a really shallow and chalky couloir that I hadn’t seen before.

Anybody know what this area is below? Am I looking at No Name Peak or Rendezvous Peak?

That's rendezvous, st Patty's couloir, and April Fool's couloir to the left.

The Village turned into the Corn Palace today. Most aspects have started the morning cycle. Sweet turns today; OB good in the northers.

Seems to be slowing down around here, hoping...Walk-on boxes yesterday and hardly any lines.

Nut's coming to town to make turns? I thought you were out for the season.

    Word up.

    2017/2018 Jackson Hole/Targhee/Tetons thread

Going to see the orthpedic tomorrow to see if I can get off these crutches.
If not, I only need them for walking, right?
I don’t need them to snowboard??

I’m gonna learn how to ski from you, Bobby!
    Only from the best!!

Arriving Sunday 18th and leaving Friday the 23rd.
Got everything we need and staying in Teton Village.
Plan to checkout Targhee on Wednesday.
    Can’t wait!

It’ll be nice to talk about race bikes with you, Djongo.
    We’ll see how things go!

Best to ski it this Saturday with a pint of Jameson in your pocket, and a Guinness in your pack.
After the couloir, exit the womb

^^^^ That is a beauty. I saw Skiing-in-Jackson this am on the bus,( his company sticker btw).
FWIW - his family skis more days cumulatively than any other in JH. They are such a ski bum family. I think record setting kids. Dig it.

The grizzlies are coming out of hibernation and Rendezvous Fest is this weekend. Coincidence? I think not.

Paid a visit to meet and greet skiing-in-Jackson.
Invested $10 four pack of Pilsner and made a dent on his whiskey inventory and collected collectibles item stickers.
    Winning.

Incoming!! Looks like Nutmeg is in, Brock landers tomorrow and then Ilove2ski followed by Warthog... Well done maggots! Way to haul yer carcasses to western Wyoming. Close to nothing.

I'm gonna be in tram line by 8:30 each am this week so if we don't otherwise connect, that's the easy find. Probably doing laps. Happy to ski anywhere. Like to hang with everyone so holla.
