    I used to use Sheep Creek as one of my data snowpit sites back when I worked for CAIC. While once approaching the bowl to digging my study pit I set off the whole bowl. I was tied in with a rope back to a tree, so I didn't get pulled into the avalanche. I was also on the body recovery effort on the April 20, 2013 accident. Sheep Creek is a very bad place, with lots of wind loading on perfect 30+ terrain.

    I'm guessing you were already anticipating instability considering the start of our season. Aside from the obvious that it slid, how did conditions compare to what you were expecting to find?
