Had a ski bud go through the same thing this Summer. He's back on his feet with a pass & new skis ready for the season.

In the working era, I had one year with 47 days.
In that job 99% of the work could be done yesterday, today, or tomorrow. And 5 weeks of vacation. I didn't even need to call in. If I showed up to work on a storm day, I shocked the others in my group.
09/10 gave me 82 days, 44 of them fresh snow days. Head up before the storm closed the Spur, ski till I ran out of something, run home to dump the tanks and refill the propane. Then back to the RV lot in front of the next storm.

131 days if counting summer skiing in 2013/14, mostly ski touring days...pushed 'er a bit to celebrate turning 40 and was rewarded with an epic run of quality and quantity days. It was the lifetime G.O.A.T. ski season.

Little over 100 days on my own for a few seasons
About 50-60 days now. I couldn't handle working nights anymore. Great for skiing not for my life.

That's legendary
Yeah, you're an animal..... It's crazy...
I used to have a tally with my days/powder days... I had over 50% a few times... but that was before kids and I had a lot less discretion about going to ski some BC and had more time to go to 'zones to get some.
I've had to have averaged well over 65 the last 5 years since my daughter was born, a lot of those were shorter than the old bell to bell days when I'd ski Snowmass in the am and go shred Ajax for 3 runs in the pm and then apre in town.www.dpsskis.com

formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.
Fukt: a very small amount of snow.

How many days do you wana ski ?
I was pointing out to someone I put a WW kayak in the lake snapped off a few rolls and never got in it again this season cuz after 34 yrs I just couldn't be bothered ... probably/maybe next year
I can ski every day if I want but I don't necessarily want to ski every day that I can
I know a local who has been skiing every month for 20yrsLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

These days 50 is perfect. Back when I really skied a lot it never occurred to me to count.
Still think I ski more vert than friends who pile on the short days and head into the bar early. Fuck that.

At some point in time you start counting the years.

Both of you are correct. No place here for either.

106 in 2011/2012. Too bad it was a shitty year.
I had 900+ I think between 2002 and 2013. That was before grad school.
Lately... well lets not talk about lately.

156 last year, but that was over the course of 12 months and made me appreciate the 146-day season I got in while living in Vermont all that much more.
I count and try to see if I can top myself because the number of times I've gone skiing for the sake of a numbers goal or a streak and then said, "shit, that was better skiing than I expected" vastly outnumber the days where I got on the hill and said, "fuck, I wish I had stayed home." Actually, come to think of it, I can't think of any times I said that...a few where I was quite happy to get inside and enjoy a warm beverage, but not so many where I was wishing I hadn't gone out.
Also, I greatly appreciate you fuckers with 300-days seasons and 20-year monthly streaks...it makes it much easier for me to claim relative sanity when people look at me funny for skiing 120+ days or looking for turns in early October.

What about these kids that are setting up a “jib” in there backyard, and just hit that all day. Does that count as a aki day?
