    that's impressive.
    Dude was a little weirded out by it at first I think he thought I was trying to steal his gear? I gave him my Washington drivers license as collateral. At that point he seemed to calm down a bit and realize that I was just trying to ski and offered his gear.

    Next time, be a real man and hike Tuck's.
    Yes! I want to do this. Hopefully you guys have a fat season and I can come ski this winter or spring.

    Looks like a good stretch of cold weather next week. Should be good for a bunch of areas that are trying to open the 17th and 18th (off the top of my head I think Sugarbush and Whiteface are trying for those dates).

    You picked the right hill. Wildcat is pretty old school and gets a great crowd demographically. Attitrash prolly would've been much different.
    I've NEVER seen anyone scrounge the parking for ski gear to borrow, that's pretty awesome. What kind of beer did you give him ? The license idea was key. I've invited strangers back to our ski house for a party later that night. When you meet cool people on the chair or on the hill and you get the vibe that they can hang, it's what makes the ski culture so cool.
    Bacon tastes good. Pork chops taste goood.

    crested butte and telluride are on the pass, too but I think too far away. i have to choose where to go for my second week which is solo. my budget is... limited for this trip. and i don't want to rent a car but am totally cool with taking a bus.
    looking for sidecountry and don't mind a little hiking. someplace like Alta. Breck the best bet?

    Looks like I was wrong/confused, google says the 23rd (same as Gore IIRC). Still, here's a shot of their forecast;

    Thanks folks! Just wish I hadn't misjudged our timing so badly and showed up 90 minutes late to helping my dad move my firewood
