No, just no. Rip your old board and turn that into a split. Or buy a pass and learn how to ski.

With potential for low tide excitement over the next week, y'all be safe out there. Take it from 'ol first run syndrome biggins (I'm made of metal. I'm not proud). That said, giggity-giggity? [/anti-jinx]

Hoping for Kballs Sunday afternoon if anyone's gonna be out. Pray for me that I get 35 essays graded by then...

I'm hoping to be at K-Mart both days this weekend, not sure when during the day that'll translate into, though.

EAST COAST ROLL CALL - Turn it up to 11

I worked till two and headed up for the final hour at Kmart, skiing was way better than I was anticipating. Love ripping early season laps on that Poma. Will be there Sunday.

Poma/Upper Bunny might be the best combo on the mountain right now.

I should've done the same thing you did but instead I worked all afternoon - never a good choice. Is Walpole really just an hour from Killington?

Do you ride Kmart all winter or do you move to Okemo once they're in full swing?

Solid 4" on the coast. First taste of winter white for me. Think I might have a window Wednesday morning to scoot someplace, but not getting a handle on the Tuesday storm. Seems more likely to fizzzle, but 7" of cold white could work nicely

We ended up with 5" here in So VT. My buddy up at Sugarloaf says almost 9" on his deck.

Saw a similar report for Sugarloaf. MWOBS is reporting big 10" on a third of an inch of precipitation-must be the most pixiest of dust ever or one of those numbers is wrong.

welcome to TGR. we need more maggots that both ski and ride. There's a hard boot thread if you're interested.
I do both but gave up soft boots on a snowboard since moving back from out west. I like to have a hockey skate on my foot snowboarding, kinda feel.
this isn't the right thread to go into it. Happy to give advice on getting on skis from a snowboarders perspective

EAST COAST ROLL CALL - Turn it up to 11

^^^classic Rossi 4s with the Marker demo bindings!

We have been picking up snow all day so last night's 5" skied like at least 1 31/32" after the third run.

Edit - just got out of the hot tub and it’s still coming down hard.

That was my ski of choice back in high school.

You are wise to split those bad boys up. You didn’t want them to end as someone’s lawn chair!

Back after a couple of years.

Day 4 - Smuggs was crummy today. Whoses must stay away. The woods off alley sucked hard for every lap we took; I went through four pair of skis on all the bone. It's gonna suck even harder as this storm rolls through. Stay away Wednesday AM.

Went for a golf course tour with Mrs RR. Nabbed a few turns on the hilly fairways. Seemed like 6" cover on the grass but the paved cart paths had only an inch or slightly more. We left before the warmup.
