    SNOW REPORTER'S UPDATE

May 23 2018 - 09:29 amThe final weekend of the longest season in the East is approaching, Killington fans. The Superstar Express Quad will reopen for skiing and riding on Friday, May 25 at 9:00 a.m. for the final two days of this 187 day season.
The grooming team has worked hard throughout the year and will continue to work hard for top to bottom skiing on Friday and Saturday – but it is not guaranteed. We will spin the lifts Friday and Saturday – even if walking is required with Saturday being the final ski day of the season. Lift tickets for Friday and Saturday will be $29 per day, all ages – no online sales. Be sure to check back on Thursday afternoon for the latest conditions updates.
The good news is the Bike Park opens on Saturday, May 26 so we can ski, snowboard and mountain bike on the same day, giving us another multi-sport Memorial Day Weekend. Get a taste of the new Beast 365 All-Seasons Pass this weekend only. For $99 adventure seekers will have unlimited access to skiing, golf the Adventure Center and mountain bike lift, trails and rentals from Friday to Monday. Want more? You can apply the $99 you paid for the weekend towards the year-long pass.
*Please note that there is no novice terrain available for the remainder of the ski and snowboard season.*
    Superstar Hours of Operation:
    Friday – 9am to 5pm
    Saturday – 8am to 5pm

Yeah, after I’m done ripping the shit out of this on Saturday there will probably be no snow left.

I just ski too hard and fast. Best skier on the mountain. I hope you guys are all there to check me out.

You should have been skiing north of the border on Monday or previous weekend.

Anyhow here is my rundown of who is spinning this weekend, most likely my last Eastern Closing post of the season.

The title says it all. K is officially calling a season on Saturday will MSS is still planning to spin until Sunday.

The end is near - Eastern Closing 2018 - Week 9 and possibly last

The last of the ribbon and the hike down. No black flies this year which was a great improvement over last years biting bloodbath. Had to watch out for dorks tossing their skis from the lift to avoid carrying them. Vibram AT sole was very grippy.

^^Nice memorial to the end of season shenanigans. Saturday was even hotter than Friday. Rain never came. Still lots of world cup ice on SS.

Did it ever truly soften into mush-bumps up there this spring? That was some deep blue, World Cup ice from Thanksgiving. I was curious about how it would play-out this year. My knees weren’t feeling it this spring, didn’t get up there in May.

We had edge-to-edge mush-bumps two Fridays ago on SS. The groomers mowed the bumps down nearly every day so they did not mature on SS like they did last year.
