Some scenes of the destruction 'round these parts. Ice pushed the river higher than I've ever seen it - don't think it's been this high since Irene.

EAST COAST ROLL CALL - Turn it up to 11

For Christ Sake, real skiing starts when Max Creek rocks out at Killington. That’s when the party starts. End of April through May is where it’s at.

Going out to look for and fix storm damage on MTB & hiking trails in the local woods. It ain't skiing, but it is breathing cold air while standing up

The river usually is about 10 feet under the bridge.

And this road is usually... a road.

    Pics from Wildwaters Outdoor Center.

Seriously some Irene-eqsue destruction in the southern ADKs.

Depends on what you’re looking to do. I was out all afternoon skiing low angle woods out of my house. Hit some stuff here and there, but not bad really. I wouldn’t go hit any slides right now.

Hit the skin track at the local bump for a couple laps... great ski mountaineering training conditions with interesting fun turns and very little competition for first tracks...

The firm base is making it easy for the local predators to get out and find a meal or two...

Made it out for a lap up Pico today. Perfect temps for skinning, less perfect surface conditions but it was a beautiful day.
