They seem to be closely related. Kissing cousins, perhaps.

Texas Handbag...Pretty sure I saw those cats at the Beacon in '89

Supportive crust with a few inches of fresh and plenty of sunshine along the spine made for an extremely enjoyable day in the woods. It might only be better tomorrow. I had forgot what it feels like to be optimistic

Last home game for the ice cats tonight

If we must go with the state of Tejas I much prefer the "Houston Handbag." Has a better ring to it

Paging VTF, no update/pics on the stop sign down and tracks in the ditch at the bottom of the Mellen road? Slacking on the German Flats news!

Yea, I saw that and thought about turning around to grab a shot, must have happened after 4:20 or so yesterday after I drove by. The inch of wet snow was causing trouble on the Sugar Run hill as well. One of the large CCTA buses was stuck 2/3 of the way up blocking the uphill lane. I am sure this caused mayhem when the first all-season car arrived. No time to pull out the phone for a pic as the WRX behind was crowding me.
Snow falling now so maybe I'll look for kooks in the morning.

By the time that article was published, I'd already been planning to move the race to Berkshire East and had even started flagging the course, and the next morning I officially cancelled the permit with the state reservation.

Early bird gets the worm this morning. Bush woods skiing very nice before they’re all tracked out.

As of today it would be $234 USD each (+ baggage transport if you're not hauling a pulk)

I won't be going this year due to the arrival of young shredder.

ml242, dan_melon and some other non-mags are going

    pm for details!

edit: for those that don't know, this hut is the shangri-la. electricity, fridge, stove, hot shower. ski-in, skin-out
Quoting because this is a worthy adventure, and something good to look forward to despite the Wx. Would be great to link up with some mags irl for this!

Chose day 50 (!) for my biggest fall of the year. On the God damn DECK. Feet went right out from under me, fell backwards and whacked the back of my head on a picnic bench on the way to ground. That helmet saved me from some serious, serious shit. #notapromove

Long weekend can do a lot of damage on us.

I've been enjoying the last days of this year's winter before it gives up the ghost next week. Sugarloaf/USA skied very well today despite the wind holds; there were many nice moguls and even the icy runs had nice piles of powder scattered across them. I always love it when the pistes are consistent enough to carve fast on but have enough bumps to unexpectedly launch you into the air at any moment. Now that my Volkl Bridges are mounted I have been trying to learn trick skiing in the snowboard park, but so far I can only do the "epic jump overshoot as a result of taking speed advice from someone half your weight" stunt.

Perfect day for a tour up to the radar base.
