Snowed heavily this morning. Toured up the Notch — 4 to 6. Stiff base underneath but good turns. Snow has definitely tapered off.

Cannon looks to be in the honey-hole right now. Get some.
I think I'm gonna bust out my first gen, 189 Pontoons and do some hovercrafting on the neighborhood fields.

Breakable crust. Fun but a bit funky. Couple few more outta these back side squalls would maybe bury it out of play. Looks like the high terrain will make out over the next 12 hours for sure. Looks like a j cloud type scenario.

Back in MA for a week. Just went for a trail run in Dennis. First it was graupeling with howling winds. Then calm and sunny. Saw a hawk catch a mouse about 20 feet away from me. Now I'm drinking Four Roses, looking out my mom's window at coots, bufflehead, and swans chilling on Bass River as the sun goes down. Awesome. Happy Christmas EC roll call. Hit me up you head out to the Front Range.

Bass River area is awesome. Winter on the Cape is great.

Huh? It's alcoholics and junkies. Totally depressing place to spend a winter. My girlfriend back in the day lived right on the river. Great in summer and fall, miserable in winter/spring.

Both of these things are true. Beautiful time for a visit. Too bleak to live here in the winter. But my mom has it figured out. Her husband is Italian. They do summer and fall on the Cape, winter in the Dolomites and spring in Tuscany.

The crust layer and buried firm surface were interesting, but for the most part Killington was downright swell today.Click image for larger version.

Wasn't much stoke coming out of CO until today. Been doing some low angle low tide skinning with beacon and snow anchor practice mixed in. Any chance of you coming out our way? Bought a house in Lafayette. Spare bedroom is ready.

EAST COAST ROLL CALL - Turn it up to 11

Western transplant with the stoke(?) here. The Cascades are popping off here in Washington. However, the old Tug Hill in NNY has us beat (again). Merry Christmas, kooks!

^Damn, looks kind of crowded... and bare. Sorry, it's not always like that.

ISBD, congrats on the house... very cool.

And Goniff and TBatt, sorry to hear... but skiing sucks right now.

Will be interested to see what claims are floating around on the mtn reports tomorrow morning. The forecast looks pretty good for preserving whatever falls over the next couple days… and also for keeping the jerrys at bay.

Seriously hope people keep it together over New Years weekend because passing out in a snowbank will equal certain death.
