photo, the crust is drying out day by day in the cold. I was surprised to find this low hanging fruit clean after someone hauled a chainsaw the past two years to widen dead fall. all the seasoned vets use handsaws and brute force, I guess the new force has weak arms and don’t know where their sanctioned Mtb trails end the watershed begins.

Unrelated, they be KRUSHING at MSG right meow.

I opted out of a nearly full moon tour near the house tonight in favor of above zero temps inside.

Nearly as I can tell, MSG is being burned to the ground right now. Looking forward to set 3!

After getting off of the plane in Hartford, CT, I grabbed a rental car and headed up to Ski Sundown for some night skiing.

    I am...sorry to hear that?

    I skied in CT. Once.

Temp must have been below 0?

Where are you skiing next? A lot of places worth checking out. Bundle up.

Nice! Love that area. Did you go straight up or take the scenic route?

Straight up to 3200’ where the spruce get too thick. Lapped the birch glade and made turns all the way back down to 1200’.

I'll be driving up to VT today. I see that there is a little resort sort of along the way, Granite Gorge, NH, to break up the drive. It should offer a good contrast to Sugarbush and Stowe the rest of the week.
The temp at Ski Sundown at 8 PM was 7 degrees, so it wasn't really that cold until the winds picked up a bit.

Don’t bother with GG. Head to Magic and ask for change. I’ll head over and give you a tour if you let me know.

Looking out to the quad at Bromley and most chairs are empty. I suspect the visiting hordes are heading home and the cold is keeping even the die hards inside today.

Stratton only had 20% of the lessons booked yesterday on today’s calendar.

That's vintage stoke, Vets. I "learned" to "ski" at night at a place called Mount Southington. (Irony quotes around "Mount" also.) Hope the weather breaks soon or you'll be in for a very authentic experience.

You're suspicions are close. They were actually trying to get super bowl recipes out of this lady.

I heard that the lift is down at GG for several more days - and they are closed today anyway.

Possible coastal storm on the horizon. Right now we stand to pickup 1-3. Has the potential to get interesting at the end of the week.

Just saw that GG is closed. Should arrive at Magic after 1. Yellow helmet, blue and brown puffy, blue pants, asking for change.
