Beaut of a day yesterday, if not a little warm. East snowfields held some great corn with the breeze up there.

Anybody got a good site to read about forecasts for this weekend? Many mixed opinions I see...

    Vallee Bleue - there's a surprise!
Valinouet not openning, that is a surprise. I read their website that the decision is based on the forecasted rain plus didn't want to leave staff on stand-by.

Vallée Bleue has been consistently mentioned as old of the last to close in the Laurentians as they are mainly driver by the snow on the ground and not the calendar. If tiny natural snow Mont Chilly is a still a maybe then Vallée Bleue in the Laurentians' Snowbelt can be too. Huge disappointment with some big guys like Ste. Anne which advanced their fixed closing date, (still being at almost if not 100% open) by one weekend over last season and two weekends compared to a few seasons ago.

hahaha. Belle Neige is also not facing North. Both are great for young families. Last time I skied there was during March break when my youngest was 3, we skied 2 days at VN & BN then we left the youngest at my mom's in Montreal and heading to Vermont for 3 days with my 8-year old.

fingers crossed! Tuesday was the perfect combo of no wind, sun, few people, and LOTS of snow. The snowfields at the summit were just amazing.
If you go Friday, I will be curious how far down one can ski.

Nice jhyatt, and cat. Love days like that up there, so much positive energy. Hopefully the lower elevations hang on a bit longer but doubt it with this rain.

Saw the Magic e-mail as well, doing it right!

Did not read the fine print. Do you have to be a dentist?

Empress - really enjoyed watching that. You tore it up! Liked how you kept the flow going the whole time. I tried to imagine myself on Hojo's deck watching that go down. Most excellent!
