OR nutSquasher. Tried one at Smuggs 20 years ago cause a couple of friends LOVED theirs... I didn't. Bruised mah ballz, so I stuck with regular telemarking and alpine skiing.

Saw one of those last year in Maine, guy was ripping, but really didn't look fun to me.

Funny enough I believe I have seen this at Alta even. Funny how they can distinguish between a teleboard and a trad snowboard or even a monoski (2 Alta regulars use these). Guess it's all about how your feet attach?

Props to Buttah for his motivating me to try the Blizzard Brahmas. I finally demoed a pair last weekend, and promptly bought a pair. They rip and were a total blast to ski. Lots of life, fast and held a great edge. I am very stoked and appreciate the advice. Also, NSW's crew rocks and they mounted my skis up on the spot. Great price, too... better than anyone around.

Nice morning, were you out there too? I think I counted 9 people on the way up at one point. First lap on 10th was meh, second down Balance Rock was much better, good to stretch the legs either way. Wish I could have made it out yesterday, I was surprised at the base left after the rain.

In the maybe 10 times I've hiked there I think someone has been surprised by a snowboard that splits in half every time, one of the only places it still happens to me at least.

Yes, from 6:30 to 8... lots of traffic. I was surprised by all the Aussie pups running around today, too. Pretty laid back for such a factory of a ski "resort."

I was almost certainly driving past on my way to Killington when this was taken. Nice evening for a ski!

4-5 inches of sticky fluff above Rte. 4 in Woodstock. Skied down in the dark w/o headlamps, felt like a kid at summer camp. On the way up:

Thanks, we have been looking for alternatives to Buckland/Shelburne Falls. Will check it out next trip.

Trail Break Tacos in WRJ is pretty darn good. A bit hipper than thou (catering to the Tuck crowd I think) and they trolled a guy online who gave them a bad review (very poor form in my opinion), but all that said their beer list is sick and the food my wife and I had was dope.

Couldn't agree more. The food is good, but the vibe they're putting out (re: facebook posts, etc) does NOT sit well with me. Also, they're still a shocking mess of disorganization in there. Hoping these things change as time goes, as I dig what they're trying to get at (if they get rid of the hipper-than-thou bit).
