Skied Smuggs Saturday afternoon with one of my kids. Madonna 1 was closed, but even Sterling was an eye opener for him. Snuck into the woods to skier's left of Bootlegger. Ice free. Good times for sure.

Forecast models are coming together and a trip to the Thunderbolt looks like a good option on Thursday.

EAST COAST ROLL CALL - Turn it up to 11

Barely made it back alive from the National Park tour, things were muy caliente in the bc:

Ran out of Code Red and cheetos early on. Almost had to drink a Monster to get out before weather trapped us in the alpine.

Sweet! Quick Hot Cheeto warning, however: "“Flamin' Hot Cheetos is one food that people will eat enormous amounts of and will see a change in their stool.” As Brett Spiegel of Everyday Health wrote, some foods just do things to your business: There's usually no cause for alarm if your poop has a red hue.Jan 21, 2013."

So, chow down on this culinary delight and let 'er rip without concern!

Think it will be good to go? Eastern MA and NH all the way up to Cannon got torched in the past week. Lost pretty much all skiable natural base. I'm thinking the Taconics are probably hopeless right now. I'm seeing 6-8" projected for Greylock. Is that all it takes for the Thunderbolt to go?

Not trying to argue with you - genuinely curious as to what conditions make the TB doable.

Sad that socks with sandals is actually the style now. Looks so lame. I could see Chuck Norris wearing that and it would look ghey on him.

No shit. I can handle the checkered Vans, but not the sock/Birkenstock combo. Damn kids. Not in my house!!

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Not any more! I was, after all, training for Alaska and thus strapped to the nines. Mountain Dew and a Glock, backcountry diet of champions.

    Taco Tuesday!!!
geez they had to use real hardshells? Cant afford the corn based soft "street" taco kind? makes these look like they just came out of a box of ortega mix...Not that there is anything wrong with the Ortega shells, just seems cheezy. Mind if I ask what they charge for those 2 tacos? Street tacos from the carts around here run about $1 each...
