Had a lot of free time today, so I decided to lap the gulf of slides.

Rog? Oh wait those tracks actually go down the fall line. Awesome pic, those kinds of days are always fun.

Anyone hit up Mellen today? Heard it was pretty damn nice.

Northern Greens were above average today. I was expecting a zoo but ended up breaking trail the entire way up. The wind direction was prime and wiped the top half completely clean of tracks.

Solid depth for day 2 of winter.

    Giddyup!

Laps last night were awesome. The old hill is looking great. Not enough to charge off piste, but we're getting there. Squeezing in a few more this a.m. before the next round of "consolidation" passes through in a few hours. Go while it's good....happy holidays. Hope Josh Fox is on the $ again. He was for yesterdays little over-producer.

Opening day at Ellen was really good yesterday. Had to restrain the kids from the siren songs coming from the off piste, wasn’t easy. Almost there.

An old Bobby Dylan quote comes to mind this morning :

Ain't it just like the night to play tricks when you're tryin' to be so quiet?

We sit here stranded, though we're all doin' our best to deny it

And Louise holds a handful of rain, tempting you to defy it.

Good time shredding Avila last night. Dark stashes and whale backs were sweet.

Happy holidays ECRC, we’re off to a good start!

The snow was surprisingly good at Kmart, but the rain during the lift rides was sub-optimal. It's still early, though!Click image for larger version.

Wife gave me go ahead to drive up to Killington from PA. Freezing rain / rain all day today and then colder temps tomorrow but forecast for 3-6" of snow on Sunday night. Will the skiing be good Monday and Tuesday? Or just okay? Or should I stay home?

I'd stay home, but only to meet the dude your wife is having an affair with as its clearly the reason she wants you out of the house on Xmas.
