Always skeptical of pre-holiday hype. NOAA saying 3-7. Intellicast 8-12. Been down on Bama visiting in-laws for their 50th. Outside Atlanta picked up 9, Brevard 12. Hopefully it s our turn. Let. It. Snow.

Lots of hype for this storm (including from myself) but I just want to reiterate that it is still low tide out there. I did some recon through a popular accessible BC area north of 89 Saturday and it was fine to skin through but not even close to ready to ski down yet. Natural alpine trails had a firm chalky base down to 2000'. There are still rocks poking through that haven't been encased in the base yet.

With that said Wednesday looks like it will be a great day and I'm pumped for it.

Lake effect has been going on all morning here. We got another inch out on it. Heavy snow starts late tonight.

Some good snow showers here this morning. About 3 inches total of fluff on the ground here in the valley, 4-6" above 2000'. This storm will hopefully get things going. Hopefully Burke doesn't get shadowed too much.

    This morning...

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

we got a couple inches of fluff in town here and i’d say the woods everywhere are totally skiable.

Stowe was good this weekend. Demo days made for some fun, too. Got to try some new boards, so Santa listen up!

Whoa.... welcome back...nice to see you G.

FACT: No one else here skis quite as well as Alpinista (in a kilt).

Did you get on the new Brahma's?
Can't believe how much better they are this year. Little tail rock and a tighter radius have made them better than ever. Also digging the Kore 93 from Head. What's good?

Unfortunately, we were skiing the gondola until lunch, but the demos were at the quad, so we only got on a pair of Black Crows and Nordica Enforcers. Compared to my Line Prophet 90's, I loved the Enforcers. Super stable, quick turning and held a great edge. I'd trade in a heartbeat.

I'm kicking myself for not knowing about the demos available earlier.

Enforcer gets a lot of hype, I think they're kinda dead feeling, but everyone is different. Still blown away at just how good the new Brahma is. If you're ever in Ludlow stop in and I'll send you out on a set.

I got out on the Enforcers as well and had the same reaction. Not the greatest ski out there but was a ton of fun and worthy of a purchase. Or at least a spin to check out yourself 😉

Thinking I'll call out sick Wednesday - any takers on the second half of a Kmart BOGO? Have a bunch of the stubs from the TGR movie but they expire Sunday.
