Even bigger lines were going down in real time when our friend was sideslipping upper red. Talk about low hanging fruit I was laying first tracks in tubing lane #2!

Yeah I did a ski cut first....

I can't draw for shit. I stole the drawing from the internet, added the shitty skis in Paint and shopped it into the photo.

Calendar creep = what I call people/ski areas/whoever is saying the season is over because of a date on the calendar.

To quote one great skier, philosopher and icon, Glen Plake:

Hoping to sneak in three days at Steaux before the ice storm. Looks like this afternoon , tomorrow morning and Friday morning might be OK. It's probably a stupid idea.

A little crispy up top, and nice mixed fluff down lower. Beautiful morning for a skin.

    Thanks DW for the explanation.
Poaching the pow, guilty . at stowe, launched over a rope and made 3 turns before taking a ski to the helmet from a low hanging chair. same season, poaching a different closed area, found a buried snowmaking pipe and kinked my edge bad enough to ruin the board. ended up with a warranty and a new board. I don't condone this reckless behavior.

As previously stated Vailmont™ was skiing well yesterday. Lower third softened nicely especially Lower Perry Merrill and Gondolier.
Plenty of ice left in the Notch although the next two days will pick away at it.

Still wall 2 wall everywhere. Lots of grumbling among the locals I talked to.

They finally opened Goat, National among other ones closed due to "icy" conditions. Upper Starr could be assessed by going around the tee box. Goat had lots of manky powder to play in.
