Funny, I was in the first chair line up as well this morning (first time in over 5 yrs) and I commented to my buddy that i thought it was much less agro than I remembered. People seemed down right polite actually.
Skiing was excellent, ended up shredding from bell to past bell. Our first couple laps had everyone around me commenting that it was the best run of the year....
Also, I didn't take any of these photos, but I hear the first one is the best skier on the mountain

Looked like there was a bootpack heading up Suicide Chute at around 1pm yesterday. Also saw a slide in one of the gullies off of little superior. Tracks going into and out of it.
Yesterday was the best day of the year so far.

All these pictures look amazing! It looks beautiful out there. Have a flight to SLC this weekend and I'm excited to learn how much speed it will take to float in my 95waist EC powder skis..

Ditto and ditto. Never managed to get the kiddo off Milly but that's OK, it's sendy over there.
A Brighton meet-up would be fun for sure. We're probably out of town this weekend, but might go up tomorrow night. Faded rust-red jacket, black pants, Sickles, kiddo in tow.

I have a few free days left to burn at Vail resorts and my GFs family has a sweet place in Park City. She really wants to fly out sometime in March for a weekend and ski sat/sun. I know Utah isnt having the best year, and PC/Canyons dont get the snow LCC gets, but how is the snowpack doing? Will i be able to ski off-piste, or will it pretty much be only groomers and main run type skiing? As of now. I know things can change quickly, especially with big spring/late winter storms.
im okay with relatively low tide and beating the hell out of my skis, as long as stuff is open. Its not gonna cost much (i get buddy pass tickets on Delta and lodging is free), but id rather stick around WA and use my Vail days up at whistler if the snowpack is too low at PC/Canyons to really have fun on.

Heading to Park City for a quick shot Friday-Sunday. Never been and given its size and my limited time, anyone have any guidance without giving away state secrets? Yeah, I would prefer to be Alta or the Bird but there are reasons and I will be at PC, staying in town. Forecast looks good (if not better than good). Thanks in advance. (PS: Do I need to add that I want steep, deep and tress and will happily hike?)
