WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS AND ASSORTED DRIVAL 17-18

lol where did you move to?

also yeah the public transportation is highly impractical for most people here, which is unfortunate imo but not gonna change anytime soon either it seems.

anyway it’ll all be moot once the next system blows it away, I’m pretty tree-huggy personally but even I can’t get too worked up about the inversions here. it’s never that bad and it’s never for that long. plenty of places have shit air all year round.

That's more due to shitty urban / regional planning than anything else.

Most people do not enjoy sitting in smoggy traffic unless they're mentally retarded or some sort of masochist.

    Stick to the pen.

Went for a walk just outside the pen today, we choose to leave the skins on for most of the descent.... Got all hopeful after a fun walk on Sunday around the perimeter of Alta, that new lift looks fancy

I would trade that smog for the unbelievable restrictions we have on individual liberties and freedom of movement that we have here in a heartbeat.

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS AND ASSORTED DRIVAL 17-18

found some soft turns in upper promised land today. haze is high, could hardly see raymond from the guardsman road closure. lower PL is a mess, hopped a lot of down trees... no core shots tho so there’s that.

a stunning amount of upd up there for the traffic/day I thought

Ha, I've only skied Promised Land once, around mid-December last year, and remember thinking how it needed way more snow for the lower section not to be hazardous. I can only imagine how bad it is right now. Fuck coreshots, not breaking bones is good enough!
