Where did you learn to ski?

Chestnut Mountain, Galena Illinois. Maybe 300 (?) feet of vertical, on a bluff overlooking the mighty Mississip. One of those places with the lodge at the top. Used to go to night skiing on Fridays. Ah, memories.

GTFO...I (sorta) learned there. Originally from Kenosha, I grew up skiing at Wilmot, Playboy/Americana, and Majestic. But, my grandmother had a house in Savannah, Illinois. Every winter, we'd vist g-ma and ski Chestnut 5-10x year.

In fact, here I am...in the middle...with my brother and sister. I guess that would be like '83-'84 or thereabouts:

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.
