What's this storm gonna do for the PNW?
Just saw this article explaining why Seattle (and my planned fishing trip to the Yakima this weekend) is getting rained out. Sounds like this could drop serious snow in the cascades. Will that create early season ski opportunities? Or is it just gonna fall as rain, or get rained out by the next storm?
I know the southern Idaho mountains well enough to know that over here it will probably put down a high elevation layer that will turn manky and icey and create unstable conditions before the November storms put down some real snow. But wondering if the dynamic is different farther west?"Judge me by the enemies I have made." -FDR

So far it's melting the modest amounts of snow at higher elevations and is turning everything else into a huge mud pit.
