Looks like KW 6 & 10 spinning. Stoked the way this storm is setting up for my son. It was too deep for him last week.

S@T was fun this morning. Not deep, but smooth, fast, styrofoam. Even some wind buff on the more exposed aspects.

TAHOE: LAND OF THE SNOWFLAKES -- 17/18 STOKE
^^ I heard Squaw slid everywhere pretty much. Oddly, there were very few - if any - crowns at Sugar Bowl this morning despite heavy bombing. It’s so starkly different I don’t know what to make of it. SB even opened the gates off Lincoln and it was all seemingly stable. Some great snow in the chutes...
I ski 135 degree chutes switch to the road.

I noticed how stable it seemed to be a Sugar Bowl today also: bombs were flying at 8 AM, didn't see any movement any where. Heck you could barely make out were the bombs had gone off. Dense!

That squaw slide was ridiculous. Entire enchanted forest area slid to early winter layer. Probably 300 yds wide and you can see the crown.
Stupid forecast changed again now we're not supposed to get much at all tonight. Sunday looks like the day.

Well Alpine wasn't bad in the afternoon today, but that rain definitely firmed up stuff in places. Also did a single lap over at Sunrise Bowl after Alpine closed, holy fack was it windy. All that wind buff that definitely did not need 115 waisted skis...the only ones I brought with me.
TLDR; Ski faster. Quit breathing. Don't crash.

TAHOE: LAND OF THE SNOWFLAKES -- 17/18 STOKE
^^ Not sure... wanna race? I have a great 40 time but not in ski boots.
I find the race at Alpine funny since typically I can roll up right after the crowds and then go find the line(s) I’m looking for anyway... keyhole being the main exception.I ski 135 degree chutes switch to the road.

Saw a big crown under Martin’s pulling into KW this evening. Snow in the valley has a crust on it, but the protected spot was still pretty fluff.
Any reports from KW today? Wondering how warm it got in the afternoon sun.
Not much skier traffic on the road. JETS ended last week, so wondering if there will be less BA traffic this week.

very cool shot Gimpy!
On another noteL Good day in the BC. The snow is um, “heavy” at all elevations. I wouldn’t call it powder, but it was fun. below 8400 or so it seemed like ~4inches of dust on rain crust. above that it was dry, deep, but thick.

The afternoon was pretty good. Wind was howling at the ridge and stuff between 6 and 10 was chalky, a bit heavy and OK in general. Sentinel was $$$ with fresh wind blown in the afternoon. A really good day but with the winds the north facing stuff was not the best to ski which was a bit surprising.
The spur also slid.

Squaw was decent today. KT laps all day as rest of mtn was basically closed. Some decent stuff on the upper 1/3 but as expected, down low was hard and icy. Massive slide with crown visible and a little path plowed through for skiers to get through. Multiple instances of chunky avy remnants right down the middle of runs.

Weird snow in the Rose area this morning, even in the trees. It's deep to the poles but not to the skis. It was awkward skiing that felt like there was a crust where there wasn't an actual crust.

Anyone know anything about this slide at KW?
