Anybody using their newly purchased sqauwalpine Icon passes yet at mammoth? What's the protocol? Ticket window or are they supposed to just work as a pass?

Doesn't help sfbay peeps this weekend, but tioga is scheduled to open Monday

^^ You must go into ticket office sign a few papers and they will issue you a
Mammoth only IKON pass for the rest of the season. You have to download
your pass pic this summer and they will mail you the real pass in the fall. Enjoy!

I have a pretty great view of Mt. Rose ski area and the Tamarack/Relay area from my home. Slide still looks skiable, don't know how thin some spots might be but I'd be surprised of the Rose side isn't solid coverage.

Fireplug face is burned as is the south face of Incline. Proletariat looks to be getting thin but definitely skiable. Hourglass is holding and Relay's SE side looks good to go. Broken glass and other north facing lines I'm sure are good.

    ugh I sure was wrong
it was 3-8" of sticky slop... even at 10,000 it was extra grippy
we just need a hard freeze now that its smooth again for a proper corn harvest

I was wondering what you guys would get up there. from down here @ 5000 feet it's obvious that it snowed last night. Never good for a corn cycle. These late season storms the past few years have really messed up the corn skiing.

Is there not wind down there? The winds have been insane in the Bay Area for the past week. Maybe I should quit surfing and take up kite boarding.

I’m in SC / Aptos right now and it’s windy AF. Nice dirt on the trails though. Nice thing about mountain biking as opposed to skiing and surfing, there aren’t really bad conditions... unless it’s pouring rain I suppose.
I ski 135 degree chutes switch to the road.

Windy as fuck. I don’t surf much on the weekends anyway. Had to be in Asilomar for family stuff and checked out Carmel. Small. Up until Wednesday was great, but Wind picked up early Thursday. Surf is clean in town (S/SE facing). So if you need to get wet, there are options. I’m waiting until Tuesday or Wednesday when the next south fills in and the wind backs off a bit.

Nice thing about the central coast is it is never that hot. Okay, very rarely. But then you just sip a beer at the beach on that day every five years

    ski lease

does anyone have any advice on finding a ski lease at kirkwood for the 2018-2019 season? i'd like to rent a condo/house for my family for all of next season. the kw real estate office has promised to let me know if they find anything, but didn't inspire much confidence. if you have advice for finding a place in SLT, that would be appreciated too. thanks for any help.

Hows the skiing at Squaw right now? Thinking of coming up this weekend to do just milage touring/ ski squaw/ climb some rock.
TLDR; Ski faster. Quit breathing. Don't crash.
