Now HV has closed for the day, is this still gonna happen tonight?

No need to chase KW dust on crust. No way 3-5”. Rained all night. Still raining lightly at 11am at 36F.

Sunday will be a freeze/thaw day at best. Pray for sun.

Man I want to go touring. Nice photo dump. Biggest regret was not getting off the backside this season. Need to make more of an effort next year. Seeing I ski 9 out of ten days with my son, I guess it is time we start some beacon training.

And shout out to Telemike. Thanks for the vouchers. Our friends are stoked not to pay window price today.

BTW, I’ll have a spare two 1/2 vouchers soon, that I don’t think I’ll be using if anyone is looking to ski vail.

Kind of light snain now. Decent outside. Gonna go over and make turns for the noon opener.

Confirmed. That's the Universe's way of taking a big shit and skid mark on Kirkwood as punishment for the piss-poor early closing date.

It was fun. Can’t wait to crush the crust tomorrow. Things are setting up pretty firm meadow side.

Solid, quiet spring day in the rose wilderness followed by solid spring groomers and beer with the wife and kids at rose ski area.

2 days of rain with about 13 hours of freezing temps, pretty much consolidated everything on every aspect. Took advantage of the primo fat bike conditions in the AM, had I know insta corn was gonna happen I would have taken my skis also, guessing there will be some prime spring skiing tomorrow, the hills look pretty dang good, maybe even smoother than before the rain.

Couple shots my buddy with First Tracks Productions took of me

TAHOE: LAND OF THE SNOWFLAKES -- 17/18 STOKE

They skied pretty dang good. Don’t have any idea what the low elevation west side looks like or anything west shore looks like, but the view from the Virginia City foothills seemed like rose made it out okay. Then a 19 degree snotel reading made for an easy gamble. And quiet. So so quiet.

Having said all that, that second photo looks fun as hell.

So what’s the consensus above 7k? Not as bad as it could have been?

Rose did really well. I couldn't see any noticeable loss. Fun day at the resort then hit Chickadee ridge for a cupcake day and it skied well at 2:30

Maybe the best rain crust I've ever skied today, after it had a chance to soften. Every turn had the added benefit of sounding like broken glass.

    That is looking thin low.

BC near KW looked to be mostly runnels. Pretty much on every steep face. Go hit some Cali spines.

Fun closing day at KW. Bumped into Turx and Cinders for a few laps. My son had his biggest day yet, and it was so much fun to watch him hit the Janek bumps top to bottom without stopping.

Now ready to go slay Heavenly. Or any where else we can get tickets to.
