Nice. I may have to make the drive this weekend. Some masochism sounds OK.

BTW, didn’t Kirkwood used to have a snow stake cam? I set my alarm for 4 to make the drive today, but then I went back to sleep when I saw that heavenly’s stake only had 2”. It was probably the right decision anyway due to real life considerations, but still annoying.

Sorry for anyone trying to get over Donner summit right now.

    Check snotels next time.

They had one. The. They didn’t. Vail can afford big expenditures. They need to turn some sort of profit back to their investors.

    Next time. Just go.

I have a window tomorrow or Friday. Thinking Friday on the gamble for a few more inches. And temps in the 20s

Mt Rose reported 5-7", and - 1* to start the day. It was accurate. Very light fluff, aim for the piles and turn there. Still hit bottom a lot, but fun. Parking lots look jammed full but no lift lines.

Mt Rose highway on the Reno side was icier than I've ever seen it, on the way up. Truck kept trying to walk sideways even in 4WD.

I almost went bowling today, but the wait was too long. So instead I’m putting kids on the bumper cars. Total winning. It must suck being in that super cold air and all the snow swirling around your upper body.

Tamarack was pretty killer today. Took 3 laps and snow was between 4-8 inches depending. Super light fluff. Best day I've had in a while

    Was legit.

    We need snow. Kinda spicy.

Overhead Blower and even skied really well when chopped up. Things are looking up.
I'm cool with this, as long as you Kirkwood Bro Brah's stay away from Heavenly when 88 closes- TahoeBc

Sounds like that lower part of the canyon up above the switchbacks wasn't skinnable? Hoping to head south this weekend

Crater lake real good yesterday. Shitty Saturday. Felt good to be outside when it was snowing

I dry docked three weeks ago at Sugar Bowl during that last storm and the kick back from my pole is still bugging my shoulder. I can only imagine taking it to the abdomen. Still in the back of my mind anytime I jump off of anything...

    Who got hurt?

Experienced dry docking at kirkwood got me to wear knee pads for tele. Luckily, I had already ground to a halt before my knee met the rock.

I wear full knee/shin pads these days. Smashed my shin a few years back. Crush fracture.

    ??? Jacket Repairs ???
Is *Technical Equipment Cleaners* in Truckee the place to go to get a broken zip replaced?

    Is there anywhere else?
    In Reno or S.Lake?

It was a funny afternoon for me at Rose.
    Jacket zip-pull broke off.
I tore open the side of my pants on a branch.
Got taken down a few times by hidden rocks...
And pretty much everywhere we tried was tracked out...busy day.

Had some slow soft cold fun too tho.
It was hard going poling anywhere. Hella grippy.

@bodywhomper. Friend of mine. She doesn’t post here. Just a fast skiing dry dock launching her face first through the air. Her kids saw her go down and decided they were done for the day as well.
