One of the best edits I've seen posted up here because it kind of tells a story, with a framework and everything (starts with the kids, ends with the kids, has resort and BC stoke sandwiched in-between). Nicely done.

*Wizard Lift will be open 7 days a week from 9am to 4pm starting on Tuesday, November 7th!*
    Not feeling it yet, personally.
Doesn't help that it's a lovely clear bluebird day out.

Here is my season edit from last year! What a season... had a hard time paring it down to 3.5 minutes!

    Very impressive!

(I also wanted to quote this so that it shows up on the next page for more to see.)

Goddamn last year was fun. I don't think I've ever had as much fun below treeline as last year. Thank you for the reminder and sick edit! Also the inspiration for anyone saying they're too busy to get out and after it

^^^ yeah. No shit. I'm hoping to get out and tour a bit more this year. I only was OB a few days each of the last few years. I did get a bunch of lift served with my 5 year old, and that was fun. Coming off the broken ankle, I expect I'll spend most of my winter months skiing with him again. Hope he can get on all the lifts by himself this year. Chairs 3 and 5 can be challenging.

I'd like to join in the stoke.
Working on a project this year, deep in the heart of Nevada. The idea is to ski some of the lesser known Great Basin, and document the struggle/success.
Got this website under construction right now, but I'm hoping to update it more with a location guide and blog. Thoughts?

That's really cool, Wobby. The website looks slick. It'd be nice to see a tab for TRs by date and location. It'd be really cool if you had a tab for current-ish conditions, although that's probably beyond the scope of what you're trying to do.

I'm curious as to what you'll find. I've always kind of assumed that the stuff between Reno and the Rubies, while it had potential, generally had less snow and was mostly mellow terrain. I've actually considered taking up chukar hunting so that I could explore some of those mountains though.

Sounds rad, wobby. I'm planning to get out into the middle of the state a lot more this year (basically from Bridgeport to Austin to Fields, OR), hit me up if you want a partner or fellow contributor for some of these struggle-fests.

I still have no idea what subscribing will do, but thanks for all the support and interest guys! I'm kind of new to this whole website development thing, but not new to NV skiing.

Theres definitely plenty of mellow terrain, and good powder is rare, but the adventure is out there. I'll be looking for partners, and should have a decent idea of conditions throughout the winter. Although it can be a crapshoot, a bushwhack, or a mud wallow. Fingers crossed for some snow, here are a couple NV shots from years past:

methinks you might have to consider starting your own thread. Heck, you've already got the title: "Deep In The Heart of Nevada." Just add: "The Northern Nevada Stoke Thread" to that and you're golden. Would be kinda like Vets' Patch Skiing thread, an obvious off-shoot of the Tahoe thread, but with a tighter focus.

    PS
Dug the pix of the Toiyabes and the Diamond Range. Ashamed to admit that I had to Google both to see where they were. Gonna add 'em to my hit list. I've skied Austin Pass on 50 and Lamoille Canyon in The Rubies, but that's about as deep as I've gotten into the heart of NV, skiing-wise.

Subscribed to Wobby’s site. I love looking out at the anonymous (to me) ranges in Nevada when crossing the state. Can’t wait to see some reports.

    Good job Mang!
Looks like you could have a maggot crew with you, if you want.

New series of Wild Nevada on reno pbs.
Maybe you could get them to come along & make a show?
