You’re 100% correct. It should have had its own thread. My bad.

I’ll be down in Mammoth this weekend. Bringing my skis just in case something unexpected happens and they decide to open early. Official opening date is Nov 9th. Storm appears to have lost its sub tropical tap and amounts for Mono County have been decreased.

Saw your post and checked Squaws FB page, the link from Snowbrains etc. Last week JT Holmes was the spokesman/paid shill in Squaws promo video regarding the "Squaw to Alpine Gondola" aka The California Express Gondola. Not anymore. That video is no where to be found. It's Jonny Mosely now. Gee, I wonder why? I'm guessing that having someone as the "Face of Squaw Valley" who happens to up on assault charges California Penal Code 273.5(a) corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, a Felony, punishable up to four years in state prision and fines of up to $6,000 is not a good look in todays society. We'll see what plays out in court, but JT might have just F@cked himself out the best job he'll ever have. If he's convicted, no way Squaw keeps him as a paid ambassador or whatever his title is.

Looking for a window sunday morning. Hoping it's not just skiing refreshed patches, but that something like hourglass gets two feet and is skiable. Snow prayers up!

Snow levels look like they aren't going to get much lower than 6800 feet during this storm. Still helps get things going but kind of a bummer. At least it'll be sticky base-building snow above 7k.

    NWS:
Warnings remain on track with 2 feet for the Sierra Crest

    BA:
I'm not seeing how we get to 2 feet, except maybe far NW of the lake up near Donner Summit above 8000'

KW cam looks like just a dusting. What a sham of a storm. A 1/3" in SC, so maybe a few inches up on the crest??

There is a pretty solid band running up 80, and the tail of that should hit us in SC in an hour or so for some more light rain. So maybe a little more dusting for areas south of the lake. Looks like that NW corner still might fair well.

KW looking a bit better this afternoon, tho those SB cams look way sweeter. Must be the vail factor.

When I saw the cornice cam, I thought, "wow, that must be a ten foot base!" And then realized the pic was from June or something. So funny they keep that shit up, just to remind you how good spring lift serve could have been.

That's good news, thought bike season might have been over. Snow on the ground just above Squaw Valley floor, though doesn't look like much. If we don't get enough to slide on, might as well get none so we can still play.
