went to the early season standby. that rock above me and i have a history. i skinned up above it to get past the cornice/slab

At Castle area this AM, about 4-5 inches of fresh on top of rain soaked pack. 90cm where we dug at 8200. Couple distinct layers but rain saturated to the ground. No significant faceting so it should lock up nicely with the colder temps next weekend.

Still low tide but we're getting there. I'll take it for November.

Disagree - that middle shot is nicely framed with the background. How's the approach at the bottom coverage-wise after all that rain? (it was POURING when I drove over the pass Sunday evening)

    ...

Here's some footage from Kirkwood yesterday.

Looks absolutely terrible! Sorry you had to suffer with the others out there while I made the correct decision to "go to work".

Squaw was skiing incredibly well today, and ride-on lifts all afternoon.

Anyone going to be at Squaw tommorow?

Yeah buddy. Andesite has been a really fun fast BC lap this November. This was from 3 weekends ago.

Can't wait for more snow so I can try some of those small cliffs/drops on it.

I dunno. I was rather partial to the area in Sept/Oct when you could still drive your 4x4 up to the base of Castle Pass and kill that 45-minute slog up the road.

But kudos to you fools for gettin' it on. I've been far too lazy to bust a move on that approach.

That said, the other side of 80 (Boreal side/Official PCT pick-up point) should be good after another storm. There's some nice chutes between Boreal and DSR.

Tamarack skied well today, no rocks. Snow got a bit crusty in places, but still great.

Jeebus. Keep up the fucking stoke. Cast has been off 46 hours. Rehab rehab rehab. This stoke gives me all the reason to get this ankle ready.

Couldn't you put tech fittings on the cast? Although the Ayers brothers might sue you for copyright infringement.

What boot fitters are recommended in Tahoe, preference for N Lake? Looking for an inbounds boot with a close fit.
