True, but give me a little coke syrup and I could drink this slop up with a slurpee straw.

And road out is closed. So if you are stuck there, you can't ski? (Maybe they'll keep lifts turning.)
Wonder if they'll open the bar?
    (...ya think?)
I managed to get there at 9:00 and there was about 18" of sierra cement with 6" of fluff on top. No crowds and really nice skiing once I got it dialed. Steady snowfall and enough wind to make viz an issue but there were free refills all over when I left at 11:30. Snow turned to sleet at about 6500' on the way home. And I did not see any closure at Galena Forest and had oncoming traffic all the way down. 431 is closed W of the resort, tho.

I left Rose about 11:30. Nobody there. Empty chairs running, or with just one or two people. Heavy snow, but so much of it that there was plenty of fresh everywhere. Whiteout blizzard conditions, and the wind was picking up, so I left.

Slide side did not open. Tomorrow will be good.

    Bring big skis.

I also bailed from Rose when the visibility dropped. Almost hit a cop who jumped in front of me as I was going right onto the Hwy. UUber slick and I have good snow tires. See you all in the am. Should be fun for a few laps!

I’m now forcing my oldest to skip school tomorrow to ski pow with me. I guess there’s some art class she was interested in. What an asshole. Pretty sure she will thank me in like 10 years. ;-)

Was still Not Snow at 6600' in Tahoe Donner when I left around 5, and then it just kinda rolled up and cleared out without about of that cold finish we were promised. That's the Weather Guesses dept for ya.

So much for snow until midnight. "Powder day" tomorrow I guess. Should be some good windbuffed spackle on the steeps I would assume.

Whoa, just checked the forecast. I thought Tomorrow night was going to be just a little shot of snow. I guess not!:
"Heavy snow. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total
snow accumulations of 1 to 3 feet, localized amounts up to 4
    feet."

    Sounds good to me.

Btw I’m fully aware that it may not be actual pow tomorrow but whatever. And now the family will be up all weekend and it will be good at some point.

    Where are you seeing that?

I read up to 30” Fri night through Sunday.

Looks like just a few inches tonight, but with freezing levels at 4K.

Windy this morning in the neighborhood. Mt Rose report went from "powder day!" to "Park only on main side" to "delay and expect wind holds".

    Waiting and watching...

Snow at Sugar Bowl is kind of a wind buffed heavy firm-ish chalk but nice and edgeable.
