I don't think society is perfect in this regard, and was certainly worse 20 years ago, but I do not believe that if someone was raped and went to the authorities about him, nothing would happen. You guys are acting like it was some hot potato issue back then, it wasn't. People have always been appalled by rape.

I actually remember it from a case my father had and was aghast when I heard the question. I was so disgusted and I couldn't have been more than 12yo but I understood it was wrong to ask and that the implication was that all women want it/enjoy it because of course the man does.

Haven't seen that movie but not surprising these things get document but no one listens (or believes it's anything more than a made up story for the big screen).
