Online Snowpack Logs for Different Regions

Does this exist in any form? I'm a totally newb and want to learn more for my anticipated touring trips this winter...but I'll be commuting to the mountains so I won't necessarily be following snowpack from a specific area and I won't always see it firsthand.

It would be awesome if there existed experts in each area that gave regular detailed updates about the snowpack.

Somehow I doubt this exists but seems like there could be a paid market for this (or I'm completely off-base).

Are you talking about snowpack conditions safety wise, or depth and percent of average ?

More safety wise. Like hidden weak layers, potential for depth hoar etc.

Are the areas of concern for you not covered by the major avalanche centers (Utah, Colorado, etc.)? These two (for example) do a great job of discussing the snowpack and it's evolution through the season.

It sounds like you need an avalanche class before you do any touring.

Staying Alive in Avalanche Terrain by Tremper. Read it before your class.
