Lightly used Walrus Rapeede XV tent

For sale is a very lightly used Walrus Rapeede XV tent in excellent condition. This is a great light mountaineering, backcountry ski, or general purpose 4 season tent. The only reason I'm selling it is because I have a Sierra Designs from the same era that won't die. This one is of similar bomber construction and I bought it as a backup from someone on e-bay that had taken it on one trip to the Grand Canyon and I used it on one ski tour. The only notable issue is a few marks on the door mesh (shown in photo) which does not affect function. Also, I removed the shock cords to lighten it up a bit, but they can be cheaply replaced. No mildew or delamination issues, and the floor is like new. Stakes and stuff sack included.

Specs on the tent can be found here: http://www.ahappycamper.com/products...rapeedexv.html

I have one that I still use a ton. Hardest part is cleaning and washing it with the built in poles but it comes together fast with one person and handles wind like a champ. Downside is the way you have to split it up between two people. Looks like new to me. Mine is about to retire.

Yeah, part of the reason I removed the shock cords was for easier packing, folding, etc. I think you need a new one!

Seriously. This is a legit tent. My fiancé asked me why I didn't buy it and I told her that despite it's blemishes, mine is still fine. I washed the fly, treated it with some DWR and re-taped the seams and she is like new... after 16 years of consistent 4 season use.

Thanks man, it's a great tent for sure. I already have others or I wouldn't be selling it.
