Only puff I have seen from a Volcano was Mount Saint Helens from Hurricane Ridge in '81.

Those Indonesian volcanoes are no joke. They often produce the most violent eruptions known to man (e.g. Tambora, Krakatau). Its been a few years since the Earth has had a large eruption. This is definitely worth keeping an eye on today.
